ChatGPT + Code Interpreter = Personal Data Analyst
“I am telling you, the world’s first trillionaires are going to come from somebody who masters AI and all its derivatives, and applies it in ways we never thought of.”
— Mark Cuban
Imagine having your software engineer or data scientist on standby, ready to bring your creative ideas to life or analyze data from your business, all for just $20 a month.
This will give you a significant edge over your competition.
There are hours saved from not having to clean and visualize data yourself. The valuable insights you could draw from your content & audience data.
This is now possible, as OpenAI launched the beta feature of the Code Interpreter last Friday, empowering your ChatGPT AI agent to write, execute, and refine Python code as your own personal data analyst or software developer.
Moreover, you can now upload data, images, and code files directly in the ChatGPT interface.
The Code Interpreter plugin allows you to analyze data, upload and edit files such as CSVs, and create charts. You don't need any coding skills to profit from the Code Interpreter.
Buckle up, folks.

Tutorial: ChatGPT + Code Interpreter = Data Analyst
Step 1: Access ChatGPT Code Interpreter.
The ChatGPT Code Interpreter plugin is available for all paid users as of this past Friday, July 7, 2023.
To turn the feature on: Go to your settings, and click “Beta features.” Then switch on the “Code Interpreter” toggle.

Then, open a Code-interpreter-enabled ChatGPT-4 Chat.

I've said interpretater too much. I can't tell if it's a real word.
Step 2: Upload Your Data.
With this new feature, you can hand your data over to your AI agent and tell it what you'd like in normal human speak.
Select the "+" button in the prompt input box, select your data file, & input your prompt:

Keep in mind: Don't share any confidential data with ChatGPT... unless you're into that.
Step 3: Prompt Time.
For this example, I uploaded 2022 NFL running back game statistics.
As a data analyst, devise a performance matrix using various metrics such as total yards, yards per attempt, touchdowns, and fumbles to rank all the running backs in the NFL for the given season. How can these metrics be weighted to provide the most accurate representation of overall performance?
Here's what ChatGPT + Interpretender came back with:

BOOM! Your own personal software engineer.

I can't tell you how many times I've abandoned some complicated spreadsheet trying to build reports that would give me insight into fantasy football analysis or insight into our content at Front Yard Fantasy
